If it is the VA records to which you refer, the VA State Library and virtually all larger libraries and LDS all have those.  As to NC, the Archives and Marianne at www.b4us.net can help, as will HeritageBooks.com and Willowbendbooks.com.  In short, many libraries have the parish records, virtually all courthouses within those parishes likewise, and google will reveal MANY references to each of those.  Paul
