In case you are interested, there are several Colonial Dames Societies:
C.D. of America, founded 1890, with headquarters in New York City,
with chapters in 14 major cities.

C.D. Seventeenth Century, founded 1915, with hq in Washington,D.C.
with chapters in 50 states.

National Society of the Colonial Dames of America, founded 1891, with
hq at Dumbarton House, Washington.Chapters in 40 states.

Also there is a society Colonial Daughters of the Seventeenth Century.
