While looking at the 1910 census for Charlotte County,VA I noticed something for the first time --- the white families were ennumerated on separate pages from the blacks and mulattoes. They even had different census takers. I was using the census to "map" out my road and adjacent areas when I noticed this. I know absolutely where certain families were living and I can usually read the census like a map. This time it didn't work and I finally saw why -- separate lists instead of consecutive order. I'm only encountering it in 1910. Has anyone else run across this?
