Hello everyone,
I know some people have had that the Sargeant Memorial Room was
closed down for a time as we moved into our new location. We are now
open and are actually in the building right across from the Kirn Library
location. Kirn is being torn right now for our new Light Rail system
being constructed here in the city. Our hours have expanded and new
things have been added to the collection.
Our new hours are:
Mon to Thurs 10 - 9 pm
Friday: 10 - 5:30pm
Sat: 10 - 5pm
Sun: 1 - 5pm
Our new address is:
235 East Plume Street
Norfolk, Virginia 23510

We have also added Sanborn Fire Insurance maps for entire state of
Virginia and HeritageQuest to our electronic databases.

You need to register to receive a Norfolk Public Library card to
access those databases. If you are a Virginia resident, you can sign up
for a card. If you live outside the state, you can still register but
there will be an annual fee.
