I am looking for any information on the parents of my gggrandfather, Edmund Winston Meeks. 
  a.. He was born abt 1796 we believe in Albemarle County. 
  b.. He served in Norfolk in the 4th, 5th, and 6th Virginia Militia in the war of 1812. 
  c.. He married Mary Bramham (16 Feb1819) in Albemarle County. 
  d.. He worked as a freeman at Monticello from 1819-1823 as a cooper and carpenter. 
  e.. He was in the 1830 Albemarle County Census. 
  f.. He was in the 1840 Alleghany County Census.  
  g.. He was in the 1850 Monroe County Census. 
  h.. He died in 1854 in Monroe County.
Would appreciate any help or suggestions.
