Subject: [VA-ROOTS] Marriage Bond lookup

I'm having a lot of trouble finding a marriage bond for a John HICKMAN
between 1770-1790. John was having children around 1788 and was in
Greenbrier
Co., VA's Personal Property Taxes by 1799 (first time I have located him -
not there in the PPT lists from 1781-1798). It has been reported on the
Internet he married a Nancy WALLACE, d/o Robert. This information however
is
undocumented. I have checked the marriage bond books for the following VA
Counties: Greenbrier, Rockingham, Franklin and Augusta, as well as
Lancaster
Co., PA. I would like to see if his marriage bond is in the following VA
counties: Albemarle, Botetourt, Shenandoah, Frederick, Rockbridge, Henry,
Bedford, Amherst, Berkeley, Fauquier, Pendleton and Hardy.

If anyone has marriage bond books for those counties I would appreciate a

lookup. Thanks, Tim Spradling
