A little over 6 years ago someone on this Virginia list posted they had
just
read a book - "With the Old Confeds" by Capt. Samuel D. Buck Co. H 13th Va.
Inf. - and heartily recommended it to all of us.

It took a bit to find a copy. I read it (she was right, it is a great
book) and decided more people should have access to his story. Since its
availability was limited a partner and I decided to reprint "With the Old
Confeds" .... just as the Capt. wrote it.

So many have benefited in so many ways from her posting. One benefit -all
net proceeds go to preservation of Civil War battlefields and historical
legacies. (Unfortunately, slow but sure in this economy.)

I want to thank this unknown benefactor and if you recognize yourself in
this tale, I'd like for you to contact me off list so I can elaborate on
how
this small book helped shape a few lives.

Thanks for listening.
M. Preston
