Sarah,
There are several family trees I have seen that list a Robert McIntyre, b. 1750 Scotland, d. 1812 Abbeville, SC. he married a Jean (unknown surname) in 1774. Jean b. 1758 d. 1817. Two children are listed. (1) Duncan McIntyre, b. 1781 Scotland, d. 26 Sep 1852 Conecuh, Alabama. Duncan married Jane Elizabeth Prestwood, b. 1784 SC d. 1861 Alabama. Their children are listed as:
Jane Elizabeth 1810-1876; John Thomas 1816-1865; Mary 1818-1885; Martha 1818-?; Lazuras 1818-?; Capers 1820-?
(2) John McIntyre b. 1783 Abbeville, SC d. ??
Hope this helps you some.

  Subject: [VA-ROOTS] Need Help

Is there any one on this list that does work on ancestors in South
Carolina. I jusst need a couple of folks that are familiar with both South Carolina
and also in North Carolina. I am about crazy looking for some one who was
either in one or the other and info I have on him (Robert McIntire . who its
said was born in Scotland and came to one of those states)
I was given the info that Robert McIntire came from Scotland b. 1750 and d.
1812) Robert is said to have served as a private in Capt. Samuel Martin's
Co., General Sumter's brigade, SC. He supposedly d. in Abbeville Co. SC

I waould be so thrilled to hear from any one who can help, as to what
records are in SC for American Revolution papers. I assume some records are
somewhere in SC. Please tell me where -if you have any idea- I might contact to
see if any documents or what ever is still in this world. You do not know
how grateful I will be from whom ever can give me a lead as to what and
where to go. I have done hours and hours in Virginia and Maryland but never had
a time that I needed to go there.
