While we are talking about early Virginia, I'm trying to find the parents of Naomi (Amy) Davis b c. 1643 in Charles City Co., VA. She married (1) Walter Holdsworth 11 Oct 1660 in Charles City Co., VA; (2) William Scarborough around 1665 in Surry Co., VA; and (3) Thomas Tyus. Other Davises in this time period include:
William Davis 1638: had 200 acres
John Davis 1657: had 100 acres
Rice Davis 1648: had 1080 acres (shared with William Edwards)
Francis Davis 1668: tithed
Arthur Davis 1671: had 161 acres
Arthur Davis 1674: tithed
Thomas Davis 1674: tithed
In 1716, Nathaniel Davis was a participant in appraising the estate of Edward Scarborough who is a son of Naomi Davis and William Scarborough so he must be in that line as well.
I wouldn't mind hearing about the Lucas family (especially Grace Lucas) and the connections of Mary Sowerby c 1650 who married John Collier c 1668 and John Rawlings 24 Sep 1677 in Surry Co., VA. Mary is the daughter of Thomas Sowerby c 1634-1685 Surry Co., VA and Ann Lee d 22Jul-Nov 1697. Anne Lee also married James Jordan d. 1697 Surry Co., VA; and an unknown Evans married c 1648.
