I missed the first part of the email but, don't forget the sulphur and mineral springs in Jefferson County, (VA) WV Shannondale Springs, my great great great grandfather was the boatman/ferryman for 30 yrs, he passed 12 July 1874. Thanks

In Montgomery Co., VA there is also a White Sulphur Springs and a Yellow Sulphur
Springs which were resorts. These were SE of Blacksburg. There was also an
Arsenic
Springs south of Shawsville.
