I should have added, Jim and all, that most local genealogical societies and libraries have, sell, or know of the existing parish records that had to do with their counties and areas.  

I always join - for at least a year - those societies that serve the counties wherein any ancestors lived, then at once learn from those local researchers what is available for their areas.  Such folks know far more about their local records than any internet source, "expert", or distant researcher.
