I am looking for a John Humphreys who "Died at his residence in Spotsylvania
County on the 30th March 1838 in the 68th year of his age - leaving seven
children and a large circle of friends. He was a widower; has a son a
professor; member of Waller's Church, Spotsylvania Co.," as reported in the
Religious Herald of 13 April 1838 .  His wife was Dorothy McConchie of
Fauquier.
