Fine info, Kristina !!!!!!!!!!! All should realize that MANY, if not MOST, counties have such an inventory of records, very few of which yet appear on the internet. If all one is doing is searching the net, but not looking at local sites like yours that reveal what sources are out there and available, a lot of time is being wasted and a lot of folks are giving up for the mere want of searching. All should notice that the Southampton Hist. Soc. website has a similar almost complete list of available records, thanks to Bruce and the other fine members of that society. Keep up the good work, K. :-) Paul

Subject: [VA-SOUTHSIDE-L] Virginia Beach Court House Records inventory

  ....
But anyway they have the following Records in the Vault for Virginia Beach or
  Princess Anne County.......

Death Records around 1846-1850 (this is what I forgot to write down) 2nd half
  of book.
Baptismal records around 1846-1850 first half of above book,
Will and inventory books starting around 1750 ish also forgot to write this
  down.
Court Record or minute books, these are very interesting, tedious but
  interesting.
Land books, and tax records from the beginning.
Also they have around 1900 liquor lic books.
  And medical lic. Books.

Church Register 1828-1869 every thing that happened in the Lynnhaven
  church.....
Vestry Book 1732-1892 (Anthony Walke and company)

  Minister Returns 1786-1821
  Certificates of return 1786-1850.

the actual marriage bond books are:

  Marriage Bonds
  1799-1802
  1803-1805
  1806-1809
  1810-1814
  1815-1817
  1818-1821
  1822-1827
  1828-1836
  1836-1842
  1842-1850

There was also a note on the bulletin board of the vault that they have
marriage records from 1749-1785, I didn't see these.
Also they note 1851-1852 records were burned.
And 1853-1911 are in the state library in richmond.
And 1912 to present are in the court house main marriage room.

  Hope all this helps,
  Kristina
