If someone has this book (Guardian Bonds of Albemarle County, VA,  1783-1852, 
by Murphy, Mary Catherine, 1968), please contact me for a lookup on a  Mary 
SPRADLING, born in Rockbridge Co., VA in 1840, daughter of David and  Julia 
BECKS. Mary was living in the Household of her Aunt Susan's (David's  Widowed 
Sister) 23 year old Son, a W. C. GAY, in Albemarle in the 1850  Census. The 
Census stated she was born in Albemarle and was 10 years old.  Susan was also in 
the household, along with W. C. GAY's young Wife. Julia showed  up in Albemarle 
in the 1860 VA Census, with two younger children. Thanks, Tim  Spradling
