A 12 marker dna test is a waste. A 37 marker test will tell you if you are related to someone. The closer the distance the closer the relationship. I am involved with several dna projects through familytreedna.

I used Familytreedna.com.So far it has found names I know that I am kin to and some I only guessed at.it is pretty good.A little pricey but if you wait until they have their sales you can save big.Right now they have Ydna 12 on sale for $49.00.and they will tell you when to expect it and give you a personal site for the results. Can't go wrong with them.
