Deep Creek actually runs the other way, rising in Cumberland (but just
barely) and flowing in a genrally northeastern direction till it enters
the James near Belmead (once Phillip St. George Cocke's plantation,
later the site of St. Emma Military Academy.)

Nel, Anne, All,

I also have someone on Deep Creek, but he does appear on Powhatan Co
Tax
lists (Lipscomb Wash).

However, by my review of my trusty Virginia Atlas and Gazeteer by
DeLorme,
Deep Creek goes west from Powhatan continuing into Cumberland Co, where
it
looks like it begins. Soooo...It appears to be in BOTH Southam and
Littleton
Parishes.

Best Regards,
Janet (Baugh) Hunter
