I'd like to use this forum to thank everyone who sent replies to my "Hodges
in the Rev. War" query. I have forwarded all of them to a cousin (Tim
Spradling, [log in to unmask]) in NC. William Hodges is his relative. Tim would
welcome any E-mails on his Hodges clan.

One of the recent E-mails contained the following information:

I checked the DAR index and found a William Hodges.  He could be a son of
you ancestor

William W. Hodges
Birth: VA  ca. 1754
Rank  Private
Service State:  VA
Death:  KY  Cira 1813
Pension: NO
Spouse: Elizabeth Cocke

While this is not the William Hodges of whom my cousin requested information,
it is also wonderful news. This is probably his son.
