In looking for 'ancient ' relatives in Henrico CO. I ran across the following
term : 1679 Tythables for Henrico CO. Att a Court holden att Varina for the
County of Henrico the second day of June An account of ye several fortye
Tythables ordered by this Wor'll Court to fitt o

It then lists names under the following: In Bermuda Hundred and across the
page the word "Curls" and then finally ......Various names of men listed as;
Mr. Richd Lygon is ordered to give notice to these. and a list of names is
listed and beside each name is a number but not insequential order, per se.
For my relatives it lists; Tho Puckett 2
                          Jno Puckett 1
                          Wm. Puckett 2.............but some names have 3 or
4 all the way up to 7

So what am I actually looking at? Any clues?

Also on the Henrico CO. rent roll of 1705.......I find the listing for
William, Thomas and John....but the name is spelled Pinkitt......would it be
a leap of faith to think that these are the same men as listed is the
Tythables?
Thanks for any help with this ...........Sharyn Baker
