Dear List Members,
In census records where kinship is indicated, is there any way to
distinguish between a niece or nephew of an husband or wife? For
example, in the hypothetical listing below for the 1920 US Census, can
one tell if Mary is related to John or to Mary?
John Doe Head b 1877
Jane Wife b 1887
Sonny Son b 1915
Dotty Daughter b 1918
Maby Related Niece b 1893
Rita Gt. Neice b 1919,
Thanks for the collective knowledge and wisdom you so generously share,
Byron Bowman,
