Well, since the original question was what was the meaning of "and c"
after a landowner's name, your comment is a little insulting and
condescending. If you can find the definition for that one in your
dictionary, maybe you can let us all know.

don't you guys have a dictionary?
et al. is et alii, means 'and others.'
etc. is etcetera, and means "and so forth"
et ux. is et uxor, and means 'and wife.'
foreign words and phrases are often italicized
