Quoted directly from the article in the *Richmond Enquirer,  *February 7,
1832, page 3

"LOCUST HILL FOR SALE - By virtue of a deed of trust, executed by Joseph A.
Royall and Mary B. Royall, his wife, bearing date the 22d day of June, 1827,
and duly recorded in the Clerks' Office of the County Court of Powhatan, for
purposes therein mentioned, I shall on Saturday, the 3d day of March next,
(1832,) in the town of Jefferson, at the Store of Walthal & Michaux, proceed
to sell at public auction to the highest bidder, the Tract of Land called
"Locust Hill, " lying on James river, near the said town, and containing by
estimation, one hundred and fifty-seven acres, be the same more or less.
Acting as Trustee, I shall convey such title only, as I hold under the said
deed - The terms will be very accommodating, and made known on the day of
sale, by
