Did some checking with a friend; he says that while he knows of no list of Virginians who bought bonds, the subject is discussed nicely in Davis R. Dewey, "Financial History of the U.S." (Longmans Green, NY, 1934), and also Studenski and Kroos, "Financial History of the U.S." (McGraw Hill, NY, 1952). Paul
