Depending on the whim of the moment, my grandmother said she was born in either Lawrenceville or Stone Mountain GA. No birth certificate, no living siblings to ask--so my mother just flipped a coin and my grandmother's death certificate says she was born in Lawrenceville. In my genealogy records I usually follow suit or do it as either/or.
