Hi, Alice. There are no VA men named Henry Sneed/Sneade/Snead in
Torrance's "VA W&A". There is, however, an Archibald Sneeed whop
died testate in Fluvanna in 1781. Notice too, that the Fluvanna
records are complete after 1777, and there are numerous entries in
those surnames in other counties. Paul

Subject: Virginia Wills and Administration

Hi to the list

I wonder if anyone on the list has the book Virginia Wills and
Administrations that could assist me? I am looking for will or
estate for
Henry R. Snead/Sneed who would have died prior to early 1814. One
of his
heirs was a sister Mary Snead Hill who was a widow of unknown Hilll
and
living at that time in Fluvanna Co. with her daughter Nancy Hill
Kidd. She
may have been the only heir...she mentions this estate in her will
of 1814
and leaves 1/2 to her son.

I have no idea where this will was. The Kidd family came from
Caroline to
Fluvanna in 1777 and she probably was with them.

Thanks
Alice in Fluvanna
