William Barlow and wife Mary purchased property from Humphrey Singleton in
Caroline County in 1772 (County order book) . He's probably the overseer
mentioned in Humphrey Hill's will in 1774, possibly a soldier in 2nd VA
regiment in 1858 (geographic vicinity) but for official sources I'm pretty
much stuck in 1772.
