Ms. Scott and many readers of some media believe that Mr. Jefferson was
proven guilty of fathering slave children. Far from it, I found that the
Monticello Study Report was so biased and one sided and Chaired by an
ORAL family history specialist that I found I must have an opposing
organization to get the truth of the study out. I founded the original
Thomas Jefferson Foundation, later sued by Monticello, they won in
Charlottesville, they then took our former title and DROPPED the
"memorial" from their title. I and other dedicated professionals then
formed the Thomas Jefferson Heritage Society. Three original members
(Dr. Ken Wallenborn is President), long time guides at Monticello and
one, Dr. Wallenborn was on their study committee and they resigned in
protest of the biased and one sided research there. This Monticello
Study group had a Minority Report written by Dr. Wallenborn BUT it was
"swept under the carpet" and was NOT originally released with the other
parts of their report. My complaints to the owners of Monticello, the
Thomas Jefferson Foundation, resulted in an apology to Dr. Wallenborn by
Dr. Daniel Jordan, Monticello President.

The Thomas Jefferson Heritage Society was then contacted by many
scholars interested in forming a true blue ribbon panel of scholars to
thoroughly study the finding of Dr. E.A. Foster. These were all
independent thinkers and researchers (see www.tjheritage.org and click
on the link, Scholars Commission Report) and not employees of
Monticello. After a year of concentrated research the 13 member panel
found that there was NO proof of a Thomas Jefferson parentage of any
slave child. Their report did find fault with some aspects of the
Monticello Report.

I have pointed out to Dr. Jordan, Monticello President, that his
analysis that "the best information available "suggests" the strong
likelihood that Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemings had a relationship
over time that led to the birth of one, and perhaps all, of the known
children of Sally Hemings" is "wrong head" thinking and evaluation
because ONLY ONE Hemings was tested and he should not have been, (see my
earlier analysis.) His analysis was so far off that I suggested I
couldn't see how he could sleep at night for such actions.

The Monticello Association (whose members are all descendants of Thomas
Jefferson overwhelmingly voted to disallow membership to their
association after a three year study and found NO proof of the Hemings
claim for membership. The DNA Study eliminated the Woodson
claim.........NO match between the Jefferson/Woodson DNA. The DNA also
proved James Callender and his February 1803 Campaign Lies as just
that.....lies.

Actually, I and many of my friends were under the assumption, from news
reports at the time of the DNA results, that Thomas Jefferson was proven
to
be the father. This was a surprise to me and I appreciate reading all
of
this information, I like to hear all sides and am enjoying the
historical &
DNA banter, and I'm sure that all parties descended from those families
are
especially interested.

Thanks to all of you that have contributed!
