The Alexandria Library, Special Collections updated the online
“Obituary Index to the Alexandria Gazette” through 1935.

This five year update adds another 7,000 obit entries and the
index now includes over 24,000 entries.

I am indebted to the hardworking staff of Special Collections for their
diligence in extracting this information from the newspaper.  We plan to
complete through 1940 during this calendar year.
