My ggrandmother, CHARATA BROWN, mulatto, was born 1833 NC-----------fail to find ANY INFO on Her or 

Her line. 

Family lore tells of being FPOC coming from England as indentured servants w/VA kin and Indian ancestry, 

but have yet to substantiate any of that.

The WHEADON surname is one of 26 spellings I find connected to my 
WEELDON/BROWN AA/Native family line of SC, NC and VA. 
I have yet to make ANY progress for my line, altho family lore 
tells of VA kin and Native American ancestry. 
In 13yrs of research, I have yet to find ANYONE who claims kinship, 
nor who is researching this line.
