Reliquary's twenty-eighth issue has been posted.

You are invited to view and download the latest edition of Prince
William Reliquary, a quarterly genealogical and historical magazine for
Prince William County, Virginia.  To view it requires version 7.0 of
Adobe Acrobat, available as a free download.

Contents of the October 2008 issue include:

*        John Lee of "Willow Green":  Who Were His Children? by Martha
C. Lang.  Evidence is found that a bachelor who died in 1848, in the
vicinity of the Manassas Battlefield, fathered a large family by a
neighboring woman.  Other surnames include CLARK, MATTHEW(S) and CROSON.


*        Capt. Philip R. F. Lee's 3rd Virginia Company, 1776-1778, by
Joan W. Peters, CG.  A biographical record of the Prince William
Independent Company of Cadets in the American Revolution.  (Part 1)

*        A note on the Prince William Resolves, 1774.

*        Dumfries District Court Land Causes (cont.), by William
Balderson.  Conclusion of the case of HOOMES vs. RENOE, 1798-1802.
Deponents include surnames HENDERSON, CALVERT, GRANT, LYNN, and
WILLIAMS.
