Ever hear about those hoaxes that such-and-such government agency was
considering a tax on e-mail? Well, this time, it's for real. A U.S.
Senator has proposed imposing "some very, very small charge for every
e-mail sent," as a way to curb spam. See this article on Yahoo:

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/pcworld/20030522/tc_pcworld/110837

You might consider writing to your congressional representatives to
express your views on this proposal. To find out who are your reps.,
go to www.house.gov and www.senate.gov . While you're at it, you might
consider sending your views to the Senator who made this proposal, by
visiting http://dayton.senate.gov/webform.html
