There is an Adams family in the Adams Familytreedna project, Family 32, that appears to have been in Wilkes Co, NC and moved to Letcher Co., KY. It is not my Adams line, so I don't know much else about them.

Subject: [VA-ROOTS] families moving from VA to NC

I'm searching the answer to William Johnson of Middlesex Virginia born
abt 1700. We thought he was the brother to Syl Johnson of Lancaster
VA but the DNA didn't match... We do have matches to the Horton
family of Wilkes, NC. Does anyone know of any of these families that
moved to NC?

Adams, Caudill, Estep, or Taylor families of
Rowan/Wilkes/Floyd/Letcher County, N. C.?

The y-dna profile matches that of the Nathan Horton family who lived in
Wilkes County, N. C. It also is the same profile (-3 of 37) as that of
Lee Henry Estep who is descended from Samuel Estep and Susannah Adams.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Val Johnson
