I am on another dead end mission...or it seems this is a dead end...

The Rees/Rhys/Rice Jones I am trying to trace would be my 6th great
grandfather if what I have is true. I show that he married Frances Bowman,
daughter of Edward Bowman...His daughter, Mary Jones married my 5th great
grandfather, Henry Cox. (Henry Cox was Mary Jones' first husband..George
Hancock her second husband. this I am 98% sure of. )

"Rees Jones" will was recorded in Henrico County in 1732 and witnessed by
Benjamin Fernando, Henry Cox and Henry Turpin.

Now the fun part...according to "Transcription of Lower Norfolk County,
Virginia Records, Volume One, Wills and Deeds, Book D, 1656-1666" by John
A. Brayton:

page 190: 1658 "+Upon ye peticon of Mr. Wm. MOSELEY a Certificate is
granted Unto him / for two hundred & fifty acres of Land proved dew by his
oath/ for ye transportation of five persons into ye collony Viz
RICE JONES ANDREW FRISBE JOSEPH [--]
Wm COXCRAFT ANN COMFORT"

page 237: "15th Novemb 1659

"....................To RICE JONES for rowing 5 burgesses to town & his
attendance 33 days at 10th 300......."

Page 369 "To Mr: NICHOLAS ALLEXANDER at the
Hare in pater noster Rowe

Recordatr: 16: die Junij 1662

Know all men by these psents yi I REECE JOANES abovesd doe assigne & sell
over all my right title & intest/of thaforesd bill of sale unto THOMAS
VICESIMUS IVY to him and his heires forevr witnes my hand this / 16th:
December Ao: 1661 signu REECE R. JOANES.
Test: BENIMAN TRENNIMAN
WILL: ROBINSON
...................................."

In "The Complete Book of Emigrants 1607-1660" by Peter Wilson Coldham , it
states thatin 1660 Reece Jones and Susan Williams, spinster, bound to John
Roah to serve 4 years in Barbados...

Also I have read where Rice Jones was transported from Canada to Virgina,
etc. I have also read the LOV chancery case in Lancaster Co. against EXX
Rice Jones which, from what I could tell, the Rice Jones the elder lived in
Middlesex,.

With all of this, do you think it would be best for me to borrow ILL the
Henrico microfilm or ILL the Middlesex or ILL Old Rappahannock Co to find
the line for R. Jones to Frances Bowman..I have not been able to find (as
of yet) the marriage of R. Jones to Frances Bowman...Edward Bowman
recognizes his "son-in-law Rice Jones"; but with all I have stumbled upon
above, I want to be sure I am going down the correct road.

It doesn't take a great deal to confuse me...especially when I become OCD
about proper sources and information..

Thank you for any help..
