I searched on the LVA online chancery records for this case and was unable
to find anything. Do these chancery records exist? Supposedly Henry Mason
died in 1808 in Stafford County, VA. And supposedly there is a will for
him. However, there are no wills online at FamilySearch for this timeframe.
Do the wills for Stafford County in 1808 exist?

Stafford County Court, January 12, 1818.
On motion of Bill by Jameson Corbin, in right of his wife Mary N. who was
Mary N. Mason, it is ordered, that Thomas Jeffries, Executor of Henry
Mason, dec’d; Valentine Mason, Charles Bruce, in right of his wife Sarah J.
who was Sarah J. Mason, Waller Hudson, in right of his wife Elizabeth T who
was Elizabeth T Mason; and William Henry Mason, an infant under 21 years of
age, by his guardian Conway Spilman, appointed by the court to defend him
in this suit – do appear here on the second Monday in April next, being
court day, and shew cause, if any they can, against the sale of the
personal Estate of Henry Mason, deceased, and distribution made of the
monies arising therefrom, according to the will of the testator – and it
appearing to the satisfaction of this court, that Thomas Jefferies is not
an inhabitant of this state; it is ordered, that publication of this order
be made as to the said absentee.
