Hi - the Virginia Historical Inventory is a wonderful source of information
about Virginia cemeteries. More than 3,500 are mentioned.

You can search for the name of a specific cemetery in a specific location,
or search for a listing of all cemeteries for a particular locality.

For example, a keyword search on Halifax cemetery resulted in more than 20
hits.

Here is a link to a sampling:

++++++++++&searcharg=Cemeteries+--+Virginia+--+Halifax+County.

There are also entries for churches in the localities that may or may not
refer to cemeteries.

The reports usually give very detailed directions to the sites, and they are
usually noted on the maps that are available.

Or, you can go directly to the maps and search for the category "Cemetery"
to show the locations of the sites.

Let me know if any questions!
