Both Va-Hist and Va-Roots are currently engaged in spirited discussions
(repetitions mostly) of opinions about Thomas Jefferson and Sally
Hemings.

Please keep your opinions about other list members to yourself and
confine comments to evaluations of evidence.

Please do not reply to a digest or a long message without deleting all
but the most essential portion of the message to which you reply. It is
abusive to send dozens and dozens of lines of extraneous material to
clog up our e-mail boxes.

It takes about ten seconds to be nice to the several hundred other
subscribers, and it may get your message read rather than deleted.

We've been through this before, and from here on in I propose to cancel
subscriptions of people who are so discourteous as to include long
strings of previous messages.
