I have to agree that in some cases, I have found incorrect data posted in my
family tree; however, I realized early in my researching not to rely on the
information totally that I found on Ancestry or any other website. I have
learned to use what I found as a TOOL to assist in my own research. Before I
post anything to my family tree, I want to make absolutely sure that the
information is correct. I got interested in family research later in life, so I
have not had the benefit of family members to hand me down any information
at all. Before beginning my research, I only knew as far back as my great,
great grandfather. Now, because of these wonderful online resources, I have,
hopefully, found my ancestors that came to Virginia from England. However, I
am being very diligent in my own research and careful not to post anything
that I can't prove.
