The first mention of my gggg grandfather, Zachariah Peters, on a legal
document is his nuptial with Keziah Lively, my gggg grandmother, on 18
November 1794. From his wedding date, I have estimated Zachariah's birth at
circa 1770-1778. If this is true, then that would place his father at the
appropriate age for service in the Revolutionary War. Just a hunch.

Does anyone have any information on those of the Peter/Peters surname from VA
who served in the 13 Colonies fight for independence. I am especially
interested in those from the Amherst/Albemarle area.

Thank you in advance for any information or guidance. I look forward to
hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Mike Peters
