It is very intersting how our ancestors were addressed, and of course named,
in my family there were "Sir" as a first name and "Dr." as a first name,
needless to say, it has caused quite a stir and misconception over the years. Our
Dr. was the great grandson of a Dr. as probabaly Sir was the great grandson of
an English Sir, with the hope of retaining titles, class distinctions, family
statis, and so on. Today I asked my granddaughter to name her second child
Sir Dr. ______ ,I asume they are expecting of course another son, She assured me
that would not happen in any circumstance. Yiiiipppiii! I thought, it's a
girl!!!!!!!!, so I suggested Louisa (many last names) or Editha (many more last
names) as the only names that could be considered. But alas, the newer
generations have selected their own traditions, which by the way would throw old
clerics into a spin, Happy Holidays, gynger cook
