This question is about some abbreviations used in Franklin Co., VA March
Court documents of 1788 following the name of Obediah H. Trent. One example
is “… Commonwealth vs Asberry & Obediah H. Trent Spl. Bl. & Spl. Impl.”
Another entry had his name followed by Sp. Jn. Anyone know what these meant?
