Your email is of interest to me even though it is dated Dec. of last year. 
I have a DAR application from the 1930s that a great aunt of mine did and
she referenced a book "History of Buckingham Co., VA regarding a
Revolutionary War relative.  This book was written by V. D. Pierrepont. 
Have you found anything out yet as I am interested in confirming some
information that my aunt apparently got from this book and subsequently was
given a DAR number.
