My 5x's great-grandfather was Daniel Hickson/Hixon who was living in 1788 on
Otter Creek in Franklin County, Virginia. His daughter, Ruth Hickson m.
Daniel Smith in Franklin Co. in 1789. I am having a difficult time trying
to find where Daniel Hickson/Hixon/Hixson may have migrated from to
Franklin County. In my search of Daniel, the land records show his surname
spelled as Hixon and in the marriage record of his daughter the surname is
spelled Hickson. Any help on the surname would be most appreciated, where
did they originate, other Virginia Counties that this surname can be found
in and any info on Daniel's parents/siblings.
