I hope the Sheriff won't delete this as an illegal
advertisement, but I thought this book might be of
interest to someone on the list.
All my VA ancestors were located along the Rappahannock,
York, and James Rivers. I haven't found any along the
Potomac, so I don't need the book.
An extension of my GenHobby is surfing antique stores/junk shops,
etc, looking for family, county and local history books. The other
day I found POTOMAC LANDINGS, by Paul Wilsatch, 1937 edition.
Hardback, 378 pages, lots of illustrations, and early settlers names
mentioned. A great map of the Potomac with plantations, creeks,
etc, shown. Well indexed.
I paid $13.44, including sales tax, for the book, so that plus postage
is exactly what it will cost anyone interested. I DO NOT profit from any
such transactions, as many all over the country can attest.
Contact me direct.
