Does anyone know if the 2ND VA State  Regiment was merged into the 2ND VA. Continental Line?
  I am trying to determine if my relative is the right John Foster at Valley Forge.
  A Sgt John Foster is listed in the 2ND VA State Regiment but my John Foster stated in a document that he had served with Febiger. Col Christian Febiger Commanded the  2ND VA Continental as best I can ascertain.
