Am searching for information on Charles McClung, who served in the
Revolutionary War & who was a namesake of my gggg uncle Charles McClung
Huffman.

I first find Charles McClung listed in "Virginia's Colonial Soldiers," by
Lloyd D. Bockstruck. In a chapter on bounty land warrants is the following:

"Warrants for 1000, 1000 & 1000 acres issued to James McClung, heir at law of
Charles McClung, a Captain in the 3rd Pennsylvania Rgmt."

Next I find Charles McClung, of Greenbrier County, VA/WV, listed in "West
Virginia Estate Settlements," by Ross B. Johnston, in the following manner:

"MCCLUNG, CHAS, set 1805."

I would appreciate any information pertaining to Charles McClung. Thank you
in advance for any information. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Mike Peters
