I want to thank all of you who wrote to me OFF list. I am going to write to the list as I believe the answer I receive might be of value to more people than just me.

In checking my notes I see that the first of the Woods family that I know for sure came over from Ireland in 1729 on board the "John of Dublin" and their shipmates consisted of the families of McDowell-Irvine-Campbells to name just a few. Michael Woods - born in County Meath Ireland in 1684 was married to Mary Elizabeth Campbell. Michael and Mary brought with them nine(9) sons and three(3) daughters. The daughters are Martha Woods who married Peter Wallace whose Wallace line produced William "Big Foot" Alexander Wallace born April 3, 1817 at Lexington, Kentucky. Daughter #2 was Sarah Woods who married Joseph Lapsley. Daughter #3 was Magdalene Woods who married John McDowell. I would like to know the names of the 9 Woods' sons. What I really need I think is Michael Woods or wife Mary Woods wills.

I sure enough appreciated all your friendly hellos. Thanks, Kay
