On one of the maps called "A Plat of the Land Patents in Amelia County", 
I located the patent of William Pride 1720. The land appears to be bound 
on the north by the Appomattox River. Viewing a modern map of the 
county, there is an Archers Creek Lane ( Rt. 651) in that area. It is 
off Rt. 616 near Amelia Lake and Amelia Wildlife Area. It appears the 
patent was for 850 acres.  I Googled Archers Creek Lane and real estate 
sites with a house for sale popped up. The following website appeared 
also 
http://www.ameliacountyrealestate.com/index.php?mode=search&term=archers. It 
indicates that houses there are owned by Eloise A. Banks, Leslie N. 
Banks, Mike Sr. Banks Estate and others.  It also gives the Map numbers 
of each property.
