Before you make a special trip to the Library of Virginia, you should
check to see whether you can look at the microfilm.  I was
researching a Catholic church in Norfolk and learned that LVA had
microfilm copies.  After much discussion with the Library, I learned
that the microfilm was only for safekeeping and not available for
public viewing.  The Richmond area churches may have a different
policy than the Norfolk church that I was dealing with.
