I am not familiar with "Nansemond County"- Does anyone on the list have
knowledgde of this county?

Nansemond County is now extinct. When first established in 1637, it was
known as Upper Norfolk, but the name Nansemond was adopted in 1646. It became
the independent City of Nansemond in 1972 and in 1974 merged with the city of
Suffolk. The area is now known as Suffolk.
