I am looking for help regarding some of my ancestors from Virginia.

I am running into confusion regarding the husbands of Judith Randolph,
daughter of Thoman Mann Randolph and Anne Cary, born 1772. I have found
several records various people have compiled claiming she had two husbands,
but I cannot find a single record showing both.

I believe her first husband was Richard Randolph, son of John Randolph and
Frances Bland, born 1770 in Albemarle County. I also believe they were
married in 1789. From what I can gather, he died in 1796 after they had two
sons.

My confusion begins with her next marriage to John Randolph, Richard's
brother. I believe they were married in 1793 and had two children, Nelson
and Abigail.

I am trying to determine who Nelson's father actually was and where he was
born (he is my great-great-great-grandfather).

If someone can please shed some light on this puzzle I would greatly
appreciate it.
