We have a simple question about the 1790 Census. Were the 9 counties soon to be Kentucky part of the 1790 Virginia Census or were they considered as Kentucky even though they were not officially a state in 1790? We see that Ancestry.com lists the 1790 Kentucky Census as one of the lost censuses which indicates Kentucky had their own census and Virginia did not include those counties in their census. We are in a debate about their inclusion on our web site. Thanks in advance.
